2025
Markhor Mentorships are back and in 2025, Markhor is proud to collaborate with Neighbourhood Arts Network on their Mentor in Residence x Core Program.
This free professional development opportunity provides Toronto/GTA-based artists and arts workers with career guidance, project development support, and entrepreneurial strategies through one-on-one mentorship sessions.
While the program welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, Markhor specifically encourages South Asian, Muslim, and/or Middle Eastern artists to apply for mentorship with producer Shehrezade Mian.

2023
Markhor is offering a year-long tailored mentorship opportunity to one emerging South Asian who is seeking to advance their career in the Film and TV industry in Canada.
The goal of this mentorship is to boost the presence of South Asian stories and people in Film and TV in Canada and beyond. South Asians are the largest visible minority in Canada, yet there is not one organizational body advocating for South Asians in film and TV. Our representation on screen and behind the camera continues to be abysmal. Markhor seeks to change this.
